It is about the provision of services or programs that are stored on the provider's remote powerful servers. The customer accesses the services via the Internet from basically anywhere. Cloud users do not purchase their own technology, but pay to use the cloud. i.e. they only pay for what they use in the cloud.
Using the cloud brings with it certain advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage of the cloud is its flexibility - by setting up the cloud, you only pay for the actual computing power and stored data. By moving data to the cloud, you can reduce hardware and software acquisition and maintenance costs, as well as IT human resources. The cloud will protect you from data loss due to a local disaster, such as a fire, flood, or even unprofessional handling by your workers. Technologies that are otherwise financially unavailable to smaller customers can often be used in the cloud. The mentioned advantages also represent certain disadvantages. Probably the most important aspect is the loss of control, because the data is stored on a foreign infrastructure. The possibility of unavailability of services and a potential security threat are also related to this. Data travels over the Internet, so you need to keep in mind that a problem can arise, for example, in the event of a cyber attack, a power outage, or a loss of Internet connection at the provider.
